Manual
Therapy
For back and joints issues
Spinal and joints manipulations are often used by chiropractors, osteopaths, doctors, naturopaths or physiotherapists. Treatment is generally safe if is performed by the trained practitioner.
Spinal manipulations are passive techniques applied to the spine or joints, to reduce tension, free the nerves, improve range of motion, restore blood flow and release 'natural painkillers' - endorphins.
The therapist put the patient in a specific position and with quick 'thrust' adjust the spine or joints. Adjustment often is accompanied by 'pop or cracking' sound within synovial joints.
The spinal mobilisation has the same goal by the application is different. Using repetitive springing motions, challenging the position of the restrictive barrier, what enhance joint functions.
